Re: your question on our blog. I don't have any specialized equipment. I had a babyfood blender (a gift) and I broke it. Bad Fiona! So now I use my Cuisinart mini-prep. It's fine, and one full bucket makes about 2 ice cube trays of food (the kind with small, skinny cubes). It's been fine for me, but something fancier will work well, too.
One difference is that your machine probably steams or boils the food. I roasted most of mine, because I think it tastes good (esp. with squash and sweet potatoes).
Glad you like the prezzie. Mother and were so delighted to have a chance to go in one of my favorite little shops.
