Vegging Out Halloween Night

I'm not complaining BUT... Isla seems to enjoy punching my right rib 24-7. And man she is consistent. Let my payback for having a head strong girl begin I suppose. Only 34 days left to go.

Since we have no rug-rats ourselves yet and I can no longer have cocktails at the famous "Naked Party of Charleston" we have planned a wild night of Japanese food and a hot chocolate from Starbucks. Our "date-night" will then be rounded out by cutting off our porch light and watching plenty of cable television while our neighborhood swarms with dressed up young'ins. Wow! we are so lame! I guess this will be our last year to officially boycott so we are going full anti-Halloween throttle. Not even a pumkin on the porch.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and of course DON"T FORGET TO VOTE!!!!!!

The Never Ending Kitchen Project

In a nesting frenzy we decided to completely ovehaul our kitchen. New countertops, floors the whole thing. Yes, it was desperately needed (our old kitchen was outdated and the floor resembled a boobie trapped obstacle course for a newborn) and it's getting there now but man....what were we thinking!!!!!! We started 8 weeks before our due date no less. So as of 9:54 pm this Tuesday evening, Michael's painting cabinets and I'm organizing silverware drawers. Please deliver us from kitchen re-making hell! Here is a before picture. You are not going to believe the difference. It is looking so much better already. Hopefully we will have the after pictures by next week. Love to all and have a nice night.

Shower

I want to thank everyone from Buist for my lovely shower this afternoon and especially Elizabeth for hosting it at her beautiful home. I can't tell you how much it meant to me. I am so lucky that I work with such wonderful people and parents everyday. Ya'll ROCK! Check out the totally beautiful, rock and roll cake that was inspired by Isla's nursery. Oh my God my friend's are so creative.
