Daddy's Big Mitts

She's still so tiny (especially compared to Michael's massive mitt). This is her new chair for when she's a big girl and we can go to the beach together. We just need a little bit more pink in the picture. And FYI, I have given up that battle and have finally embraced the all powerful PINK. They say it's the new black and you know how much I dig that color. -R

Christmas Morning

What is it about little ones that makes the most jaded Grinch melt on Christmas morning. What a sweet baby.
Merry Christmas to all!

We Spoke WAY to Soon

Ummmm, you can forget about "sleeping 5 hours during the night already". (Fiona, did you curse me with a voodoo doll or something? You definately cursed me with the "rested" adjective on your blog. I have your address and I am not afraid to show up with this screamin baby at 4 am!)Isla apparently now loves the nightlife. We were up eating at 3:30am and 5:30am. But at least we slept in till 10:00am. It's like being in College all over again minus the parties, the freedom, the Waffle House and the general lack of responsibility. Now it's more like boobs, milk and poop....boobs, milk and poop...boobs, milk and poop...

Isla a Week Old

This has been one crazy week and a half but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I think we have started to establish some semblence of a schedule and honestly, we could not have asked for a more laid back and happy baby. She usually sleeps at least 5 hours at night already so I'm very blessed. Life is awesome and thanks to Michael's parents for being so wonderful to us this week with all their help. Isla is a LUCKY baby to have two such sweet sets of Grandparents. Love-Rebecca

Welcome Isla!

Even after 22 hours of labor...all I can say is life is so wonderful. It does blow my mind that one tiny person can be so time consuming, but it is truly a joy. Thanks to everyone who came to see us and called with their support. I love you all so much. And a special thanks to my parents who have stayed with us since we returned from the hospital and have been so incredible. We could not have survived without them. CAN YOU BELIEVE ALL THAT HAIR!!!! -Michael and Rebecca
